net 4 security update KB2487367 wont install and redirects to Bing

For the last week I am getting a security alert - and the update dowloads, the computer takeas ages to re-start and the same alert notice re-appears.

I clicked on the link shown on the security update for more information and all I get is Bing.

Is microsoft now forcing me to chose Bing or Linux?

OK so I'm out of date using XP on this machine, but it does what I want with no hover and no charm bar.

Any suggestions?
