Read the section after the Resolution for a none format Workaround.

Mike,
So every time I need to write to my hard drive I need to right click the
program (not the shortcut) and launch as administrator? Great solution!

Change the permissions on the effected drives. Right-click -> Properties ->
Security.

If its the system drive you're referring to however I'd suggest not changing
anything and saving into user-specific locations, like the users folder.
