my surface won't turn on can anyone help?

I have had my Surface Windows RT for about 4 months now, and there has been no problems with the charging or anything but the other day when it ran out of battery it shut down so i put it on charge and tried to turn it back on but it wouldn't. I've been trying for days to get it working again but it just won't work. does anyone know what to do that might work?
