So I did what I shouldn't have done and uninstalled a program called
soundMAX, and when I turned my computer on today I hear nothing. I made sure
everything was in order but still nothing. I don't know where to go or what I
am even looking for to make my sound work! Please help!

The solution is simple...re-install SoundMax. This is typically the
on-board sound system. The files for SoundMax can be found on the
utility cdrom that is provided with the motherboard or the computer.

You've got no sound because you have rather stupidly removed the sound
drivers.
