My PC does not shutdown after installing windows update.

Hi!I am using windows 8 Pro 64-bit on HP dv6-7040TX. After installing windows update, when I click to shut down my system it does not shut down properly, It goes on hibernate mode. But, if I restart the system immediately after windows update installation, then
it starts applying the update. after that everything works well.Kindly please provide me a solution for this problem.
