My internal Cd Drive and External Cd drives are not recognized!! P

For about a year my internal cd drive stoped working! and now like 5 months
ago, my external drive stopped working, wich I started to use when the
internal one went dead!!..

So I open Windows Media Player and I try to burn something but it says; ''
please connect a drive and start player again'' then I insert a blank cd in
to the drive and i use a cd software that i donwload from the internet and IT
WILL BURN cd's.. but why does it burn when i use another software not
related to microsoft, and when i try to use the WMP or the burning wizard it
wont recognize my drives!!! what can I do.. please help...

OR IF ANYONE KNOWS OF A FREE CD BURNER THAT WILL ALLOW ME TO BURN MUSIC AND
PICTURES TO CD'S UNLIMITED PLEASE GIVE ME THE LINK TO IT PLEASE!! THANK YOU!!
