I have XPpro and again my "Diamond Digital"
DVD reader is sealed shut with its light on.

Why does this happen; how can I check to fix
this problem.

Also its drive (G:) has disappeared from
WindowsExplorer.

Please help, Frank

Bad cable? Dirty disc in the tray?

Can you eject the disc right at boot while the memory count is happening?

Thanks, I rebooted and the drive opened while
booting up. There was an old DVD in the
drive and all seems OK now. But time will
tell. Regards, Frank
