Recently my computer has been affected by a worm detected as SillyFDC by norton antivirus.
Now my autoplay doesnt run when I plug in my thumbdrive and since my laptop does not have a disk drive, I also have to plug in an external dvd drive into my laptop. Now any external drives I plug in does not have the autoplay showing up. Now I cant read cd discs at all too no matter what external cd drives I plug in as it has the yellow exclamation mark under the device manager part and after uninstalling the driver, the problem still arises.
Also, Ive got this small window box popping up on my desktop whenever I log on to windows. I cant get rid of it too.
Does anyone have any idea how to restore the registry to its default settings without the need for a reformatting? Ive got plenty of work stuff and programs in there and I dont wish to remove them due to reformat.
