my computer has a different built FLAVOR of windows live??

I have recently started using my laptop with Vista. As it should, it checks for updates but when I try to install them, it tells me I have a different build flavor of Windows live. #1 - What does that error mean exactly? #2 - If that update isn't needed
for my computer, why does it keep showing up?
