Hi,
Just been working on a young ladies PC, on which I installed XP SP3 a couple
of weeks ago,
....including installing and uninstalling Nvidia Ntune | and having to
uninstall that :-(
....uninstalled and installed latest nvidia Forceware drivers for older 6200
AGP card...two or three times !
anyhow, ...a while later after trying to install the "User profile hive
cleanup service," her system box had lost the *.msi filetype association,
and I had to manually put it back in to Windows Explorer | filetypes list
to get it to install.
so I'm wondering is this was a fault in SP3 as in :-
http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=33406
or if my fighting with nVidia graphics drivers did it ?
....any thoughts appreciated ?
regards, Richard
