When I did a Quick scan on my computer with Microsoft Security Essentials it said that nothing was detected. When I clicked on the History tab it showed no items had been Quarantined. When I clicked on the radio button for "All detected items" it then, and only then, showed that it had detected Exploit:JS/Axpergle.E which it described as a dangerous virus and which it had quarantined. It advised me to remove it immediately which I did.

Exactly the same has happened several times. I am of course glad that MSE detected this item and removed it but why were there two lies (or at least, two misleading statements) on the way? First it said that nothing had been detected which was not true and then it said that nothing had been quarantined which was also not true. It is downplaying the effectiveness of MSE. Is this a fault in the program or am I doing something wrong? There may be many other users who have a similar situation but who do not enquire any further than the initial response that nothing harmful had been detected.

I have a laptop with Windows 7 64-bit and use IE11 browser. I shall be grateful for your views.
