MS14-021 & WSUS: Is the Update for English localization only?

I am trying to do the update MS14-021 for a customer who still uses SMS2003 with ITMU (yes indeed!). They have IE8 with german localization, but the update is not installing. It is shown in update catalog, but for English only. Does anyone know if there should exist or be coming a german update or do we have to use the direct download from Windows Update website and run the update separate from ITMU? Or am I at all wrong and the existing update should install as well on german IE8?
