I finally switched from iPhone to Windows Phone 8. Its day two and I'm near tears over the calendar. How can Microsoft, the software giant, have such a poor excuse for a fully functioning calendar?! I don't know what to do as I see that the WP8 team seems to not care at all as there have been threads similar in nature since 2012. Many of us nickname our smart phones our "brain" as we use and rely on them for so much self organization. This current calendar isn't even enough for my teenage son who needs 5 reliable calendar events...one of which is to note his pay day ever other Friday. And as I talk with friends and coworkers I've learned that nearly all of us look at a weekly view when determining where to fit in an appointment. And if we work on a project, it may have recurring appointments for 6 months. How is it possible that making a strong calendar app for WP8 is impossible...can't the Outlook or Exchange teams cooperate/collaborate on this obvious need? I'm going to have to point out to my friends and coworkers that ask me, "there are a lot of features I really like about my WP8 however the calendar is so weak I may have to turn it in for an Android and I sure wouldn't want you to buy one because of this". WP8, what say you?
