Mouse-Pointer problems

Hi
I have recently experienced a strange problem. I cannot use the mouse-ponter
to access the File, Edit, View options in the menu of MS Office 2002, Adobe
Photoshop 9 etc. Some applications works fine, but most of them have the same
problem. It's a little frustrating. I hope someone can help me.

Usually caused by poor third-party software, example:
"OFF2000: Strange Mouse Pointer Behavior with Office Programs"
