Mouse (driver?) problems

I suspect my Vista mouse drivers are corrupt.
Symptoms:
Corded USB mouse--cursor all of a sudden flies into the bottom right corner
of the taskbar and refuses to more, despite mouse movement. Alternatively,
cursor becomes very sluggish and it takes repeated mouse movements (10 - 15)
to get it to desired position. After approx. 60 seconds, it returns to
normal function.
Cordless, optical mouse: randomly, a click becomes a double-click. This
occurs no matter how carefully I click. Have set and re-set all Mouse
options in Control Panel.
Both mice work fine on my XP computer.
This ALSO occurs whether or not I use Vista generic mouse drivers OR
iinstall and use the Logitech SetPoint mouse driver software.
There are two mous**** drivers in System32/Drivers folder. I believe they
are mouclass.sys and mouhid.sys. (i am at work writing this and don't have
access to a Vista computer to give exact names). Both these are listed as in
use in Device Manager for both generic Vista mouse driver use and Logitech
SetPoint driver use.
Is there a way to extract these drivers from the Vista install DVD? I can't
find any .cab files on the disk. I don't want to do a reformat and
reinstall if possible.
Alternately, could someone email me these two files to styles@mindless.com?

Some Windows Vista functions may not work, or Windows Vista may stop

After SFC,
Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the mouse device, Action
menu, "Uninstall", (do Not put a check in 'delete driver") then Action
menu,"scan for hardware changes", to find the device drivers again
automatically.

Does that give me a fresh copy, or merely Uninstall and Reinstall the same
corrupted drivers?
