We have Mototola ES400's that need to connect with our PC's. I'm not interested in any of the Outlook Sync features - just purely the file transfer abilities and also remote execution via RAPISTART.
This works perfect on Windows XP via ActiveSync 4.5, however Windows 7 and Windows Mobile Device Center just does not work.
The device shows up as RNDIS Device on Device Management. It even goes so far as showing 'Windows Mobile Device' in My Computer. But WMDC just won't recognise it. If i go attempt to open it via My Computer i just get a blank folder.
Any Ideas? Is there a fix for this problem? Is it possible to run Active Sync on Windows 7 without emulating XP?

PS. Selecting Mass Storage Device is useless as this does not give me access to the Windows Directories
