Windows NT more servers

André vd Hoeven

We are using a Windows 2003 terminal server. I can connect with this server
trough the Internet. In the router I set the NAT table to the server.

When I connect to the IP address of my ADSL with RDP software then the
connection is made to the Terminal server.



When I like to add a second server (performance issue) then I'm not able to
use NAT.

Is there a way to use more than 1 Terminal server with only 1 ADSL line?
(Load balancing?)

where is connected the ADSL modem? what type of ADSL device do you have -is
a usb modem or is a router ADSL?

The adsl modem is integrated in de ADSL router (zyxel prestige 661)
this is a ethernet router

hi,
in that case plug the TS's and the adsl router into a switch(hub), set the
IP of the second TS into the same subnet as the first, set the gateway and
dns of the second TS as the first and will work with no problem.

When I connect from the internet to 1 of the 2 servers, How I'm gone choose
the server, I can give up only 1 address in the nat table.

you dont have to choose nothing.NAT is means that will translate internal
network to the output ip address - all internal clients will be "see" on
outside with only 1 IP address.

I think you misunderstand me.



I like to have 2 terminal servers on the insite of my network. (ip
192.168.43.xxx)



In the Nat table I configure port 3389 (RDP) to connect to Terminal server1
(192.168.43.10)



So when I connect to the IP address of ADSL (from the outside of the
network) (213.xxx.xxx.xxx) with RDP then I'm connected to 192.168.43.10. So
far no problem.

How I'm gone connect to the second Terminal server (192.168.43.11) now?

that another thing:

forward to another port 192.168.43.11 to 3390(on ex)

change default listening port on TS:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal
Server\WinStations\RDP-Tcp

PortNumber default is 3389 you have to change to another like 3390

and the client will connect with mstsc /v:servername(ip):portnumber(3390) or
on rdp windows will be write servername(ip):portnumber(3390)

if the users connect on tsweb :

1. Locate the Default.htm file in the %system root%\Web\TsWeb folder.
2. Open Default.htm in Notepad or in another text editor.
3. Locate the entries that start with "MsRdpClient.AdvancedSettings2".
4. Add the following line after these entries
MsRdpClient.AdvancedSettings2.RDPPort = xxxx
where xxxx is the new port.
To make sure that you can connect with the new setting, append the port
number to that of the published URL (that is, www.xxx.xxx.xxx:PortNumber).
