I'm not sure if this is a driver issue or an issue with my monitor.
This morning when I turned it on it came on for a split second and I
saw the desktop, and then it went black. The power indicator shows
green so it's getting power. I checked the connection to the computer
and made sure that it was connected properly. The odd thing is the
longer I leave the monitor with the power off, it stays on for a
longer bit of time before going black again.

Do you think this is a driver issue, monitor setting issue, or a
problem with the monitor itself.

Thanks!

It reads more like a problem with the graphics card or the power supply.
Start by borrowing another monitor to see what happens. If not the
monitor, try Safe Mode. What happens there?
