Hi i have been using a Samsung mighty drive 2gb USB stick for a few months to
transfer files between my desk top and lap top, both are running xp home sp2.
Suddenly I cannot open the drive and it is not showing up in My Computer,
however when using remove hardware it shows up fine. This is happening on
both my desk top and lap top. On my desk top I am using a powered hub which
is working fine and on my lap top a direct port.
Any help/advice please would be great.

Please note that I do not know all the details about the hardware
configuration on your system but from the description it seems a drive letter
confilct. Right click on my computer, go to manage and then disk managment
and see if another device is using the drive letter that used to be the USB >

I have re assigned a drive letter to the USB stick and it appears to be
working fine.
Thanks very much for your help.
Cheers
