This may seem to be a frivolous request for help, but the only word processor I use at the moment is MS Wordpad, and two day's ago the program completely disappeared from my system. I have not installed / uninstalled any software nor have I made any software
changes to windows, all my former 'wri' files have defaulted to 'rtf', I had a Wordpad icon on the quicklaunch bar which disappeared, as has the original from programs / accessories.I thought the obvious place to go would be Folder options / File Types ,
registered files but there was no trace. I have also tried & failed with the remedies to similar previous posts, If possible I would rather not carry out a system restore. I use windows XP Home (SP3). Thank You.
