Hi
I have a question regarding legitimate usage of Microsoft XP Professional OEM license with sticker pasted over HP machines. I bought a few such old desktops from a local vendor few months back. These machines have Microsoft XP Professional sticker pasted over the desktop body (the sticker also mentions that the license is not to be sold separately). I also formatted the machines and installed XP professional on the machines once again and activated the XP online using the key pasted over the desktop.
My Vendor had told me that these are OEM licenses and they go along with the desktop on which they have been installed. If the desktop is sold to anyone, it is legitimate to the buyer to use the Windows XP OS on that desktop legally. I want a re-confirmation on this. Can anyone please advise?
Thanks in advance.
