I posted this topic awhile ago after setting up my sister's computer
and the Microsoft update site still continues to stop at the point of
checking her computer every time I try and use it. I've tried on my
computer at home with no problems whatsoever so it can't be Microsoft
as some pointed out. I've checked her settings and they all 'seem' to
be fine although they are set a medium-high default.
In addition A-Squared won't scan for updates either saying that either
she doesn't have a computer connection or proxy settings set. How do I
set those or do I need to?
Her computer connection is up and running by the way as all other
programs function fine, e.g. Spybot, AVG, Internet Explorer, MSN, etc.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
