Can't get any version of the Framework to install on XP. The system
initially had .net framework 1.1 but after going to the update site and
performing several updates, one of which was SP 3, when it came to the
framework, 2.0 failed to install. I noted information in another thread
covering a thorough ininstall of the framework and reinstalling to no avail.
Here is some of the info from that attempt as it exceeds the allowed amount
that i can post.

Thanks PA Bear, but so far I've not had any luck with reinstalling the net
framework that was installed on this system or an earlier version.
(1.1.4322.2407) Very annoying.

PA Bear,

After communicating with Mr. Stebner, It turns out that my Windows Installer
was missing and needed to be reinstalled and once that was done, I was able
to reinstall Net Framework 2.0 and then continue with the needed updates at
the Microsoft update site. Thank you very much for your patience in working
with me to resolve this issue!
