Information Systems

When did you join the Student Ambassadors community?

2021

What was being a Student Ambassador like?

Being a Student Ambassador allowed me to go above and beyond. I was able to contribute so much to so many different student communities.

Was there a specific experience you had while you were in the program that had a profound impact on you and why?

Networking with fellow Student Ambassadors and, in the end, guiding new Student Ambassadors.

Tell us about a technology you had the chance to gain a skillset in as a Student Ambassador. How has this skill you acquired helped you in your post-university journey?

Definitely Azure. I learned so much about the cloud and Microsoft Azure. I also earned eight Microsoft Certifications. Thanks to Visual Studio Code Enterprise I was able to deploy my solutions to the cloud without spending any money.

What is something you want all students, globally, to know about the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador Program?

I hosted various technical workshops and events. As a result, I improved my network by reaching a diverse group of students and communities.

What advice would you give to new Student Ambassadors, who are just starting in the program?

Try not to worry about your presentation skills when you first start organizing your own workshops and events. You will improve your skills as you navigate the program, gaining confidence as you go.

Share a favorite quote with us! It can be from a movie, a song, a book, or someone you know personally. Tell us why you chose this. What does it mean for you?

"You should enjoy the little detours to the fullest. Because that's where you'll find the things more important than what you want." It's from one of my favorite series. It basically means just enjoying the moment and not stressing about your future.

Tell us something interesting about you, about your journey.

I was able to subscribe to the Microsoft Imagine program. This opportunity enabled me to visit Microsoft Istanbul HQ and meet Microsoft professionals.
