Hi all

I have a windows xp pro machine that i have added windows Media player to
the start-up folder. This is causing Media player to start after boot-up
which is half-way what we wants. What we actually wants is media player to
start-up automatically after the pc did boot-up BUT it must go into FULL
SCREEN mode as we need to drive out to change it to full screen mode. Any
help is highly appreciated i.e how do i get media player to start
automatically in full-screen mode?

Unfortunately, mediaplayer (MP) will not start in full screen mode whatever
you do. It is not even possible to put MP into full screen mode unless it
is actually playing a media file. If the file is stopped or paused, MP
cannot be put into full scren mode, though it will stay there if it is
already in that mode. However, if MP is in full screen mode, and stopped or
paused, it will drop back to windowed mode when one of a number of events
happen (for example: opening another application). This occurs because
graphics cards cannot overlay the video image with other windows (because
the video image is itself an overlay). This behaviour also happens if you
have MP full screen on a separate monitor, because MP doesn't know about
multi-monitor operation.
