Original Title: WINDOWS 8 - Application suddenly won't open at all.
I have MediaGo installed on my VAIO, and I use it quite frequently, however in the past week, it's consistently refused to open, displaying the error:
"The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event-log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail."
I have, since the app stopped working, used Command Prompt to detect and remove corrupt files from my computer, using the commands sfc/scannow and dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, yet the problem still persists.
I have tried looking at the event log, AND given the sxstrace.exe tool a shot, but it's useless, as I have no idea what to do. I've Googled to no avail...
I'd really like to get the issue sorted quickly, and any help would be gratefully received!
