Media Player wont play DVD's

Hi, when I try to play DVD's it says there isnt a compatible DVD decoder installed, I have upgraded to media player 11 and I think I have the latest windows updates. I have installed microsoft fix it centre and it says there arent any problems but it stil says previous message when try to play dvd's
