Media player problems

Media player has stopped working correctly. I can get it to open, and I
either get video, or audio, but not both.

My best idea for a solution would be to uninstall media player and then
reinstall. Is this likely the best option? If not, what is the best
approach?

If unintall/reinstall is the best solution, how do I uninstall Media Player?

TIA,

Rob

For what file types are you having problems? When did this first start
happening?

There is no supported reinstall short of reinstalling Vista, so that
"reinstall" idea is thus limited. (It's a limitation of how the Vista
component system works, and is generic to all components - it has nothing
specifically to do with the player.)
