Hey gang,

This may be a dumb question on my part...

I am running Vista Ultimate 64 bit, I know there is a windows media player
listed under programs x86, and under just programs. I take it, that is a 32
bit wmp listed under the programs x86, and a 64 bit wmp listed under just
programs?
So, if I have wmp open, is there an easy way to tell, which one is open from
within wmp? Like in IE7, if you click on help and about, it lists the 64 bit
version as 64 bit, anything similar in WMP?

Thanks,

Don,
Press simultaneously Shift, Ctrl, Esc to bring up task manager.
Click on the processes tab.
All 32-bit processes have an *32 by their right side.
The default WMP is 32-bit because the 64-bit decoders are scarce.
Both 32-bit and 64-bit decoders (freeware) can be downloaded from here:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=173941
Both decoders can coexist peacefully in your Vista x64.
