Every week Apple adds tons of new media content on iTunes — music, books, movies and more. It's impossible to keep up with all of it, but it's not impossible to pick out the very best. Here they are! This week we've got a new release from legendary pop band Erasure, a pre-order for the newest X-Men movie, a thought provoking documentary, free iOS 8 guides from Apple and more!

Erasure: The Violet Flame

For almost thirty years Vince Clarke and Andy Bell have been churning out dance hit after dance hit as Erasure. A Little Respect, Chains of Love, and Always are the band's biggest hits in the U.S, but they've had dozens of top 40 hits in the U.K. and continue to churn out pop record after pop record, chock full of dance club hits. Their latest effort comes less than a year after Snow Globe, a Christmas-themed album. It's darkly-tinged but still upbeat, with some EDM flourishes to keep it relevant to today's clubgoers. But still solidly Clarke and Bell throughout, safely in the hands of producer Richard X, who proved himself early on in the bootleg scene as someone who loves and respects the synthpop era from which Erasure itself emerged. Preorder now and get it Monday.

Strange EP - Charlotte OC

Four more delicious dark pop and soul-inflected tracks from Blackburn, England's Charlotte OC. She's been compared to Stevie Nicks and Alicia Keys (the latter of which she admits is an idol), and as weird as the combination is, the comparison holds. A strong voice with lovelorn lyrics, and beautiful, sparse arrangements, all deftly assembled behind the board by Tim Anderson (who's previously worked with Solange, Sia and others).

X-Men: Days of Future Past

Time-traveling adventure in which the the characters from the original X-Men trilogy join forces with their younger selves to battle the Sentinels, killer robots out to destroy mutants once and for all. Pre-order now and get it when it's released on Tuesday.

Ivory Tower

This documentary looks at the state of higher education in America: How much it costs, where that money is going, and how crushing student loan is affecting and will affect generations of Americans who simply can't afford to pay for their education and get ahead in life. This is a must-see documentary for anyone with kids approaching college age, or many already in school.

iOS 8 Guides

iOS 8 introduces a slew of new technology and features and iMore has you covered to help you get up to speed. But if you'd like to go straight to the horse's mouth, Apple has developed a series of guides for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users who have migrated to iOS 8 and want to get the most out of their new operating system. All the guides are free and can be viewed using iBooks.
