When I try to start Vista Media Center, I keep getting the following error
message.

C:\Windows\ehome\ehshell.exe
The application failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is
incorrect. Please see the application log for more details.

I've tried to clean registry files I've even restored to before the last
Vista update.....I even was on the phone with Dell (offshore) for over three
hours...and NOTHING is fixing it.

Any help would be hugely appreciated!! Thanks.

Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories and right-click
on the Command Prompt and choose "Run as administrator".
Type in: SFC /SCANNOW and press your Enter key.

If that does not work, try repairing your system. Boot from your Windows
Vista DVD, select the System Repair Option > on the setup screen, select
'Repair Computer > Select your installation of Windows > select Startup
Repair option and follow instructions.
