Many web pages are bright white. Many times, it bothers me when I view them.
Is there software that addresses and solves this problem? If so, what is it
(are they)?

Or must I use a filter that fits over my monitor?

Thank you,

Barry Karas

Using IE7 you can chg the default background colors using Tools ¦ Internet
Options ¦ General (tab), Appearance, colors the default is to use your
Windows colors.

However, this may only work for webpages that do not explicitly define the
background color.

How about using your monitor's controls to change the brightness or
contrast?

That's a good idea...BUT... Eizo has eight very small buttons but none have
any listings. And the model number is not shown.

Rather than experiment and potentially foul up my computer, I asked the
questions.

Hello,

Try looking for the manual for your display here

Maybe you can find the information at the Eizo site?

You can sometimes change the colour balance in your display properties,
so that white won't be so bright, but this would almost certainly mess
with displaying anything requiring accurate colour rendition (such as
photographs).
