making the icons in the task bar larger

I just installed Vista and I was wondering how to make the icons in the task
bar larger. Thanks for any help.

Hi Steve,

You can do this from the Advanced Appearance settings by adjusting the
"Caption Buttons" item size. I find using 23 or 24 ok, but it's you
choice on how large you want them. This tutorial will help show you how
to if needed.

Or do it the easy way:

1) Unlock the TaskBar.
2) Place the mouse cursor immediately at the top of the TaskBar: the
pointer will change to a vertical double-headed arrow.
3) Immediately right-click. A popup menu will appear: Choose "View"
at the top and place a checkmark beside "Large Icons".
4) Relock the TaskBar.

NOTE that this will NOT change the size of the icons in the
Notification Area (the System Tray). As far as I know, there is no
way to change their size.

Hi Donald,

The method I posted above will let you change the icon sizes in the
Notification Area.
