Right click the icon for Projector and select Properties. Go to the
Compatibility tab, and select Windows '98 mode. If the program is still
unstable, try disabling Visual Themes on that tab too.

It sounds like the CD is intended to launch when inserted and has an old
copy of the flash system on it, which is probably not compatible with
Vista. The disk should still have the content you want on it so examine
the disk and see if you can find any files that you can run
independently, you probably have a player that will run them installed
already. If this is a disk that has some manufacturer's titles on it
then trying to display the titles is what's holding things up. If i has
other software that's supposed to run then you may be in trouble with
that also. Can you try it on a non Vista machine to confirm the problem?
As long as the content is not a program that needs to actually run on
Vista you should be able to make a new disk with a current version of
the flash system.
