I suddenly "lost" the history of sent email, going back to Dec 2006. When I
went to the problem log of my computer, I saw the following message:

Catalog Database (1056) The version store for this instance (0) has reached
its maximum size of 16Mb. It is likely that a long-running transaction is
preventing cleanup of the version store and causing it to build up in size.
Updates will be rejected until the long-running transaction has been
completely committed or rolled back. Possible long-running transaction:

What do I do to correct this problem so that I can see all of my sent emails
stored on my computer?

What email client/server are you using? If you're using Exchange server,
this wouldn't be on "your computer" - it would be on the server, and it
would be 16GB for the maximum database size in Exchange Standard (unless
you're using E2003 SP2 or E2007). And even then, this wouldn't wipe out mail
from a specific folder. Please provide more detail I suspect this isn't the
best newsgroup for your question.

It would be useful if you posted full details of the mail system you are
using.

Looks like your clock / time zone is out of whack.
You're posting in the past.

Looks fine now - perhaps your message took an
excessively long time until it reached my newsreader.
It's happened before.
