If you're looking to have a good time on your Mac this weekend, pop on over to Blizzard's site and download Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. The company's free to play strategy card game recently emerged from a lengthy public beta period and is now ready for general consumption.
From the makers of World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, Diablo III and other fine games for Mac and Windows, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft is a Blizzard game of a very different calibre than you've seen before: Set up like a tabletop card game, you choose one of nine different Warcraft heroes to play as, taking turns playing cards from customizable decks to cast spells, use weapons or summon other characters to fight your opponent.
You can play with the AI until you're comfortable enough to play against other human opponents, then you can play in ranked mode and gradually make your way up the ladder to become a top player, building a custom deck as you go.
Hearthstone is available for OS X and Windows, and has launched initially in the Americas region.
