Hi All,

Looking for 8 ports sata controller that has a basic raid capability. I need
to create a mirror of the c drive for my new desktop computer.

Any recommendations is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Joe

You might try newegg.com. Promise is one brand that's good. Adaptec
is also very good.

8 ports....Dought one will fit a standard pc desktop case,8 port would be for
a server configuration only,+ it would be in PCIe capability only.To mirror a
hd,you'll need another exactly the same, that only requires 2 SATA ports with
RAID capability...

I was hoping to enter all hd into that SATA board. So if the board has some
memory then performance will improve. I am going to have 5 HD total and 2
DVDs. For the DVD I can use the Mother Board sata ports.

Thanks,

Joe

I recommend you ask in a hardware group. This has nothing to do with
the OS and it working with your hardware.

Do you know how to read? What hardware means? <lol>

Your recommendation is not accepted<s>

You want something that works BEFORE the operating system loads.
