Linux Live USB Creator only runs in Windows???

I was watching an older show on Hak5 on my Roku and saw them talk about Linux Live USB Creator so I looked it up but saw that it only runs under Windows, so what gives? Seems like this would be awesome to make up Live and persistent USB sticks with a good Linux Distro on it so you could take it along with you and have a "computer in your pocket" but why no support from this tool for Linux? Seems like Linux would have been the first thing they'd have gotten it to work under, not Windows.
