after one whole year, vista is has a very slow adoption rate, and for good
reason...

I took a breif look at various statisics on web hits... and low and
behold...

the truth...

less people are using vista than even MacOSX

the percentage is around 6%

XP is in dominance with more than 80%!

Of course it is.. its the best OS that microsoft has now.. vista is total
trash.

Vista however surpasses Linux in use...

this is clearly a linux problem.. its not easy enough yet for the masses...

but vista reminds me of all the user-unfriendly things linux is all about...

lack of drivers, incompatible with programs, strange bugs that you need too
much time to fix IF ever!

Windows Vista has 9% market share, Mac OS X has 2%, Mac OS X has been around
since March 2001 and can barely get by, Vista was just introduced mainstream
in January and its alread 9%, imagine whats gonna happen next year?

no andre... People are buying more computers with vista preinstalled, then
they format the HORRIBLE OS, and install XP on it or even linux!

OR they dual boot.. mevetheless buying vista is not equal with USING vista
in the long run.

market share for vista is irrelivent.. what matters is HOW MUCH ITS BEING
USED!

And its beeing use less than MACOSX lol!

only web statistics can give you a good estimate of how many Vista machines
are out there...

since sale numbers give a very distorted image of what is really going on...

from what I have seen, people are formating vista like crazy.. IT people are
making small fotunes just by formating and installing XP on vista
machines...

and the Web stats back up what I have seen

vista is not even here .. it will be remembered only as a bad effort full of

"then they format"
Some do
"OR they dual boot"
Some also do.
It is noted that this time you avoided your usual FICTION you often
attempt to pass off as fact.
That suggests you have no FACTS to give any numbers for the above.
I also know of some who bought the inexpensive Linux computers only to
get the cheap hardware and discarded the provided Linux.
Funny how you never state anything like this.
Without numbers, the information is pretty much useless.
Just as useless as most of what you post as well as that some buy
inexpensive Linux computers then dump Linux.
But I suppose it give you a feeling you post something even though the
content is pretty hollow.

"only web statistics can give you a good estimate of how many Vista
machines are out there"
Now we see where you get your fiction.
No, not at all, Web sites draw particular people in specific groups
including more of some and less than others, Google included.
There are simply to many variables you CHOOSE to ignore.
But continue going on cherry picking as you have done in the past,
finding what supports your views and discarding anything else.

I suppose if I was like you and unable to get Windows Vista to work I
might see it as a "HORRIBLE OS".

However the FACT is Windows Vista works well for many people as well
as on two older computers of mine, a FACT you are unable to disprove.

I hope my contribution to 3.83% has been counted. I installed Vista on 3 of
my machines, first one back in August. It was really tough first. Then I
realized that Vista is in fact an IQ test. I do believe those why whimper
and complain just do not have some marbles set up for Vista. It is fine with
me. For me it is a great OS. I am sure it is here to stay. I am a developer.
I use a lot of APIs and MS development tools. I use databases and I need
connection strings. My demands are high. Once you've learned how to handle
it it is smooth and dandy.

No alex, because vista is an IQ test thats why it is horribly design...

I personally am complaining about vista, because its hard for the average
user to use it..

It is the average person I care about, the kids, the elderly people, the non
technical person who wants to use the computer
to learn and do more...

I personally have no problem setting up vista.. in fact I solve the problems
of others, as well as setup the OS on their computers (IF THEY INSIST)

GUIs should be intuative... and there should me no effort put in to
"learning" it

I, along with many others, have asked you numerous times about your
professional graphics design credentials. You've never addressed that
question yet you constantly berate and belittle Vista on it's looks.
Time to qualify yourself capin' crunch with those professional
credentials...if they exist...or else just STFU!!!
