I use a CanoScan 8600E in conjunction with ABBYY FineReader to convert
printed materials to Word Documents. Since the last update, with UAC
activated, the FineReader application cannot access the correct scanner
driver but only displays a WIA-Canonscan driver which does not allow me to
use the Scangear window to use the full spectrum of features. Is there
anyway around this other than disabling UAC everytime I need to use
FineReader?
