I noticed that I have a few Gb of data in Temp Int Files folder
(winXPpro). I tried removing all the files but it just doesn't work.
They all dissapeared from the folder after deleting but when I check
the properties of the folder there is still a few Gb of something
which I can't see although in Folder Options I marked the 'show hidden
files' nad 'show system files' checkboxes. Also I tried deleting
whatever is there from Internet Explorer but with no effect.

Hi,
Another program may have a lock on the TIF folder. Try clearing the
Temporary Internet Files after starting up in Safe Mode.
315222 - A description of the Safe Mode Boot options in Windows XP:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=315222
More info: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/deltifonexit.htm

[Assuming IE6] Also be sure to check the "Delete offline content box" when
that dialog pops up.

The leftover content may be the index.dat file. Try CCleaner from
http://www.ccleaner.com/ Check the index.dat box.

Also, it's generally recommended that the TIF folder be kept below about 100
MB.

Hope this helps,
Don

It helped indeed. Thanks Don

Yaro,

In Internet Explorer
TOOLS | INTERNET OPTIONS | ADVANCED tab
Scroll down to near the bottom & you will see EMPTY TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES
WHEN BROWSER IS CLOSED
Tick it, click APPLY then click OK

The above should help you keep the size down
