Hi All
Our school has 4 identical Fujitsu laptops running WinXP Pro SP2 / NTFS file
sys, but I cannot get one of them to see our server via UNC.
This laptop:
a) can get to the internet
b) gets it's tcp/ip details from the server's dhcp server correctly
c) does not have the firewall on
d) has no internet security software installed such as Norton
e) can ping the server
f) the tcp/ip main window tick boxes, eg file&print sharing, are all ticked.
but if I do \\servername\ it says it can't find the path found - whaaattt??
The other 3 laptops just found it and I could carry on copying files in
seconds. By the way, this server is a Win2k3 server so it isn't a
connections issue and my task is to get the data off the laptop onto the
server and then add it to the domain.
What on earth could be stopping me getting to the server through UNC?
Thanks
