DELL XPS 410 windows media XP media center edition.
I am working on this computer for my brother. i brought it to my house to try and fix unrelated issues. once hooked up and plugged in. I can use the keyboard in the system BIOS without any issue. i can also boot tothe diagnostic partition and run tests on the entire computer for all hardware inside and out. everything passes all tests. i have tried all 3 safe modes booting from a windows XP media center edition DVD and the hard drive as well as attempting to use last known good configuration. and there is no system repair option on any of the system menus or boot setup screen. I cant find an option to try and re install windows either. it will boot up to the windows login screen however without the mouse and lkeyboard working i can not select one of the logins. so my problem is how can i get the key board and mouse to work so that i can login to windows. i have read blog after blog with absolutly no working solution. i can not download the hotfix and install it as i cant get passed the windows login screen in any mode.
