keyboad in xpsp2

how do i login as administrator without a key board. device manager reports
"cannot load driver for this hardware because previous instance of the driver
is still in memory (code 38). any idea on how i can solve the prolems. tia

You can't. Shut down the machine, connect a different keyboard, and go
into Safe Mode to uninstall the incorrect drivers. Since you haven't
provided any details, that's all I can suggest.
