Keeps reinstalling same security update

My computer has been installing the security update from August 14th 2007
EVERYDAY since the update was released. How do I get it to stop?

Also, after periods of non-use, my screen turns off and won't turn back on,
even though I set the power options to "never turn off screen." The part that
bothers me is that the screen won't turn back on so I have to restart and
lose everything that I didn't save.

Help please

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Chenalex,

Is the Update still showing up in the available updates screen? If it
is, then is is failing to install and will attempt to keep reinstalling
it until you hide (remove) it from the available updates list. This
tutorial will show you how.

Disable any anti virus Programs when installing windows updates. I found
this out after vista kept trying to install KB937287 over and over. As
soon as I disabled my anti virus, it installed correctly with no
problems. Hope this helps

Turning off my anti virus worked for installing KB937287. I was having the
same re-installing issue on my Dell XPS laptop. See my post "Windows updates
on a Dell XPS Laptop" dated 2/15/2008 for details.

Thanks Melkesideck
