I have tried every fix suggested and cannot install security updates and I can't install any other updates since that one has failed,. I have tried the fixit, the troubleshooter. I get no error number - just the name of the update and saying update failed.
Ihave tried the suggested fixit in both default and aggressive modes. I have tried stopping update service and starting it again. There is no place to uncheck don't install this update. The update center gives me only one choice of what to update and that
is KB951847. I have tried disabling all startup and microsoft services items and rebooting the computer and that didn't work. I am out of ideas.
