Hello, when I boot up my netbook asus 1201n, Windows 8 pro starts as usual. But after showing the loginscreen I get an alternating black and grey screen. I can hear (and see at the led) the hard drive working, but besides the alternating screens, noting
happens. After days of determining the problem (and reinstalling Windows 5 times) I found update KB2809289 to be the cause. All other recent updates can be installed without problems.I ignore this specific update for now, but would like to install it for security reasons. Also I am afraid to install coming updates as I don't know whether it will be causing problems or not. I found it particularly difficult to restore Windows when this problem
arose (especially without the possibility to start Windows 8 in safe-mode). I have to reinstall Windows every time when I encounter those alternating screens, so that's a lot of hassle.
So a solution for this problem would be greatly appreciated.
