JAVA setup internal error 2732.0

I can't install a plugin in yahoo games. I receive the message:

The wizard was interrupted before Java(TM) 6 Update 2 could be
completely installed

This is followed by a window that says:
JAVA Setup internal error 2732.0

I'm running XP SP2 on a Dell with Pentium III and 256RAM
