issues with user accounts

Brandy

I accidentally clicked limited account under user accounts and now I can't
download anything. How do I fix this. I was the administrator and now I can't
get into anything. Please help!!
 
Windows has a hidden Administrator account
The password for this account is normally blank (none).

In XP Home, boot the computer into Safe Mode. Do this by repeatedly tapping
the F8 key as the computer is starting up. This will get you to the right
menu. Navigate using your Up arrow key; the mouse will not work here. Once
in Safe Mode, you will see the normally hidden Administrator account. The
default password is a blank.

In XP Pro, you do not need to go into Safe Mode. At the Welcome Screen,
do/press the
Ctrl-Alt-Del keys twice to get the classic Windows logon box. Type in
"Administrator" (without the quotes) and whatever password you assigned
(default is no password)
when you set up Windows.

Nice information. Looks familiar. Information is free and we all like to
share but if you're going to copy something I wrote word-for-word, it is

Brandy - The above technique will work. Before you do all that, see if
you have another user account with administrative privileges. If yes,
then log into it and go to the User Accounts applet to make the change
to your own account. Otherwise proceed to the built-in Administrator
account.
