Hello.

Currently, I don't have internet connection at home.
I can only access internet thru the library. But, the library
computer doesn't allow me to burn cds.

Is there a website where I can save program files from another website
or one where I can save downloaded program files?

I would like to download a program file and then save it in a website
until I can get internet connection at home. The reason I want to do
this is because I'm not sure the website that offers the file will be
around for long. It might go away.

I would just like to save it in a website until the day I can get
internet connection at home. Then, I'll be able to download the file
from my website to my home computer and then burn it on cd.

You say that the library doesn't allow you to burn CDs. Do they allow you
to do anything else? For example, can you plug a flash drive into a USB
port? A portable hard drive? Do you have a digital camera or MP3 player or
cellphone that can be connected and appear as a drive to the computer and
not require special drivers or control programs. For example I can connect
my old Creative Zen Nano to a computer and it looks like an external disk
drive requiring no special software but if I connect my new Zen it demands
that Creative's software be installed.

Get a Gmail (or other) account. Send yourself an email from the library with
the file as an attachement. Gmail currently allows (I think) five gigabytes
of storage.

I would concur, but:

To send as an attachment you would need to save it to the hard drive first.
Does the Library allow that?

And what's the attachment size limit with Gmail?

Dunno that they HAVE a limit - it would be easy to test, though. We
routinely send backups as Gmail attachements, some files are 20 megabytes or
so.

Hint: Gmail doesn't allow .ZIP files as attachements, so we have to rename
the zip files to a .PIZ extension. Works swell.
